PSMA-PET Guided Salvage Radiotherapy in Biochemically Recurrent Prostate Cancer

Abstract

Background: PSMA-PET imaging may refine salvage radiotherapy targeting in recurrent prostate cancer. Methods: Prospective study of 280 patients with BCR post-prostatectomy undergoing PSMA-PET guided vs. conventional salvage RT. PSA outcomes at 24 months. Results: PSA undetectable rate: PSMA-guided 68.4% vs. conventional 48.2% (p<0.001). Metastasis-free survival improved (HR 0.62, p=0.008). Treatment volumes modified in 72% of PSMA-guided patients. Conclusion: PSMA-PET guidance significantly improves salvage RT outcomes in biochemically recurrent prostate cancer through precise treatment targeting
