Editorial Assessment

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial evaluation to determine whether they fall within the journal's scope and satisfy the basic standards for scientific quality, ethical compliance, and manuscript preparation. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be declined before external review.

Single-Blind Review

CJCPT adopts a single-blind peer review process. Under this model, reviewers are informed of the authors' identities, while the identities of the reviewers remain confidential and are not disclosed to the authors. This approach is intended to facilitate an impartial, independent, and constructive assessment of each manuscript based solely on its scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.

External Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent experts with relevant subject knowledge. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on scientific merit, originality, methodological soundness, ethical standards, clarity of presentation, and the significance of the findings.

Editorial Decision

The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Academic Editor considers the reviewers' recommendations before making one of the following decisions:

• Accept without revision
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Reject

The final publication decision rests solely with the editorial office.

Revision Procedure

Authors receiving revision requests should submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed point-by-point response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

Ethical Review Standards

Editors and reviewers are expected to conduct the review process fairly, objectively, and confidentially. All participants must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest and decline review assignments where impartiality could be compromised.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts received for review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, reproduce, or use any unpublished material for personal or professional advantage without prior written permission from the journal.

Publication Ethics

The journal conducts its peer review and editorial practices in accordance with internationally recognized principles of publication ethics. CJCPT follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) to promote transparency, research integrity, fairness, and responsible scholarly publishing.

Appeals

Authors who believe an editorial decision was based on a significant misunderstanding or procedural error may submit a written appeal. Appeals are reviewed independently by the editorial office, and the resulting decision shall be considered final.
