The Chinese Journal of Cancer Prevention & Treatment (CJCPT) is dedicated to publishing original, ethical, and high-quality scholarly research. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated for textual originality before entering the peer review process to uphold academic integrity and prevent publication misconduct.
Every manuscript submitted to the journal must be accompanied by a plagiarism (similarity) report generated using Turnitin or another recognized similarity-detection software. The Editorial Office independently reviews the submitted report and may conduct an additional similarity assessment whenever necessary.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and that all sources are properly cited. Before submission, authors should carefully review the similarity report and ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal's plagiarism requirements. Proper quotation, citation, and acknowledgment of previously published work are essential.
Similarity reports are assessed by the Editorial Office to distinguish acceptable overlap from potential plagiarism. Particular attention is given to the originality of the scientific content, rather than relying solely on an overall similarity percentage. Manuscripts with evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, excessive text overlap, or inappropriate reuse of previously published material may be returned for revision, rejected, or investigated further.
If plagiarism or other forms of unethical text reuse are identified before or after publication, the journal may take appropriate editorial action, including requesting corrections, rejecting the manuscript, retracting the published article, or notifying the authors' affiliated institution where necessary.
The journal's plagiarism screening procedures are conducted in accordance with the ethical recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) to ensure fairness, transparency, and research integrity throughout the publication process.
This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect advances in similarity-detection technologies and international best practices in publication ethics.
